TeamIvy is a networking group in Atlanta comprised of 2,000 alums from the Ivy League Universities, Seven Sisters Colleges and other very-selective schools. Board members include graduates of Yale, Harvard, Bryn Mawr, Emory, Cornell and the Wharton School of Business.
TeamIvy hosts Business Networking Breakfasts (2009 speakers included Mark Meltzer, Executive Editor of The Atlanta Business Chronicle, and Serenbe Founder Steve Nygren), fundraisers, Tables for Eight dinners, wine tastings, book signings and socials. Up to 400 members turn out every October to enjoy the fall foliage and watch experienced polo players wearing Ivy League shirts play a match at Jack Cashin's Chukkar Field in Alpharetta.
Members have been invited twice by producers of NBC's The Apprentice to audition for the show and TeamIvy is the Atlanta partner of Women for Hire. CEO and Founder Tory Johnson is the Workplace Contributor on ABC's Good Morning America, a New York Times best-selling author and hosts career expos nationally. TeamIvy member Robin Schlinger, a resume expert, is featured at her Atlanta career expos.
Founded in 1997, TeamIvy was featured in the Oct. 2-8, 2009 issue of
Atlanta Business Chronicle and
will be featured in the November 2009 issue of Atlanta Magazine.
